Series documents the work of the Oregon State Planning Council which functioned as an unofficial advisory body in 1934 and 1935. It was abolished in 1935 and its activities were assumed by the Planning Board. records include correspondence, lists, minutes, tables, maps, charts, and reports. Topics include a variety of subjects studied by committees overseeing research on power, water and mineral resources, public welfare, mapping, forestry, and transportation. Many of the records of the Planning Council can be found in the subject series of the Planning board such as forestry, power, and recreation.
